FOM Update: January 2023

Thank you to all who have renewed their membership for 2023. We are  compiling our new database and will be sending confirmation letters with your new membership numbers in the next week.

Your membership helps support not only the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra, but also towards youth development in music.  This Sunday 15th January at 2pm you can hear 6 of South Africa’s finest young musicians compete in the finals of the National Youth Music Competition, hosted last year at the Hugo Lambrechts Music Centre. Each competitor had the opportunity to play with the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton and guidance of Bernhard Gueller and the Friends of Orchestral Music have sponsored the broadcast of the competition  on Fine Music Radio.  You can hear this unique production at 101.3fm, Dstv838 or streamed live on www.fmr.co.za.  Don’t forget FMR have also recently launched their own app so you can listen to them anywhere.

It is not too late to join FOM for 2023 and be a part of classical music development in Cape Town.  Forms can be filled in online through our website http://www.fomct.com or your can simply write to us at: info@fomct.com with your details.  You can also add a donation to your membership payment, and if you would like your money to go specifically to our educational portfolios, you are eligible for an 18a tax certificate for all donations over R500.   Payment options can be through eft or Snapscan (details below).
